Hey friends! A big day for us Americans tomorrow…Thanksgiving! We often begin our “seasonal slump” of holiday eating now and it can definitely take a toll on our bodies. I get asked often what kind of tips I have for Thanksgiving so I thought I’d make a Facebook live video with them. But you know it just isn’t stopping with health tips…I’m also hitting the emotional and spiritual too!

Things discussed:

  • Turkey Day eating tips
  • The “seasonal” health slump
  • How Turkey Day eating ends up being more than 1 day
  • The emotional hurts that may accompany a holiday
  • A spiritual game plan for tomorrow (taking you through Colossians 4:2-6)

and more!

You can watch the video on my FB like page, or you can catch it here on youtube!

I also wanted to link to a workout I posted last year at this time…deck of cards! It is very simple so a great one to do before you go anywhere!

Finally, I want to leave you with an image and thought I post every year (and referenced in the video.)

The turkey and mashed potatoes shouldn’t be the only thing seasoned with salt tomorrow!

Our words can fly as we sit around the table in conversation with our loved ones, be it about politics, religion, high school friends, or the scorned family member. May we use our time to encourage, build up, and speak truth, love, & grace with those who God has graciously placed in our lives. (Eph 4:29, Col 4:6) Oh that our presence would be a BLESSING to those we encounter!

Enjoy the fun, fellowship, and yes—FOOD tomorrow. God is so good to give us all these things! Happy Thanksgiving!
