Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of the term green smoothies. Yes, I’m talking about those smoothies that have a rocking green color, but make you think twice about consuming!!

Love my green smoothies! for presentation’s sake you don’t want to mix the spinach and red or blue berries…it turns an ugly brown. (However it doesn’t taste bad!)
One of my favorite green smoothies: 1 banana, 1 T of peanut butter, milk (almond, coconut, or cow), 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, and as much spinach as you can fit in. Blend and enjoy! (I always use a magic bullet, so it controls my portion sizes.) You can trade out the Greek Yogurt for protein powder, vanilla yogurt, or tofu. There’s SO much flexibility in smoothies.
I can keep going on, it’s my favorite way to add fruits and veggies to my diet!
I stumbled upon green smoothies about 5 years ago and I LOVE them! I only wish i had a system where I could cut up and clean all my stuff for the week. A great book with tons of information and recipes is “Green for Life”. My Favorite one is two handfuls of Kale, 1 large pear, 1 mango and 1/2 of a lemon juice mmmmmmm.
