I’m sure there are plenty of you out there who want to know why I have any business writing a fitness blog. Others may wonder why now? What triggered you?

After all:

  • I am a fitness instructor who eats candy and skips a workout
  • I am a friend who gets jealous and doesn’t always want to listen
  • I am a mother who loses her cool and questions her parenting abilities
  • I am a wife who speaks disrespectfully to her husband and is self-serving
  • I am a Christian who falls. Who questions. Who gets defeated

Are you still there? I hope I haven’t scared you away.

“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ” 2 Corinthians 12:10

Shh. Don’t tell anyone, but I’m majorly dependent. I have a crutch.

When God started knocking on my heart about this blog about 4 months ago, I questioned Him. Are you SURE about this God? I mean, I know you hear everything I say and everything I think. I’m SO.MESSED.UP.  I went back and forth with him for a good 2 months. You’ve heard the term “wrestling with God.” Well, I was there.

There’s plenty of women who are more knowledgeable than me!

I don’t have time! After all, I have 2 small kids, a husband and a spare room with a pile of unread magazines from 2007.

What do I have to offer anyone?

As God always does, He proved Himself. He is always faithful to me. I can’t even begin to tell you some of the random ways that he lined things up for this blog to come to life. He used words from other people, opportunities that fell into my lap and more importantly, His Word. I sat in a Bible Study last fall and the last session was called ” Move Your Feet”. The image I have included in this blog is the notes page from that study. (Don’t be jealous of my awesome handwriting) It sealed the deal. I left there with tears in my eyes. Lord. Why did I doubt your faithfulness?

So there you go. A little insight into why Peak313 came to be.
