I was flying Friday to Savannah and heard the same spiel that every flight attendant/plane recording says…
“In the event of a decompression, an oxygen mask will automatically appear in front of you….. If you are traveling with a child or someone who requires assistance, secure your mask on first, and then assist the other person.”
Watch the video as I talk about what I want to encourage you with, today!

Clare,
I love this! A great message for everyone. Love seeing and hearing you as well. You are lovely.
God bless you.
Clare you are so adorable. I love listening to you. Its great to be able to aee you and hear you makes it more personal This is so great and helpful. Very encouraging as always.
P.s. I’ve never been on a plane!
Thank you for sharing this, Clare! I definitely needed the reminder. I have three little ones under 2 1/2 and taking care of myself gets put on the back burner too much.
This was a breath of fresh “oxygen” today! Thanks, Clare!
Oh my goodness!! I love this!! This is so true…I know I’m a much better mom when I fill myself up first…My husband and kids get the best version of me available!!!
Thank you for sharing your heart!!! It is sooo very true!! and you are adorable!!!
XOXO
Yes! Yes! Yes! That’s me, always putting the oxygen mask on someone else before myself. I appreciate your reminder today of how important it is to put “me” first in the appropriate way.
Excellent reminder that I desperately needed!! As always, you speak to the heart of the matter in such a sweet way – what a gift!!! Thanks, Clare.
Clare,
My husband is an airline pilot and he has made this analogy to me soooo many times. I know he is right, yet still, it’s something that I truly struggle with EVERYDAY. We have 4 kids – ages 9, 7, 4 and 20 months. When he leaves town for work I am essentially a single mom. On top of that, our oldest son has autism. Long story short, I have been neglecting myself for a long time. I am about 30 lbs overweight and cannot seem to muster up the motivation and strength to do anything about it. It is so easy to loose your identity in your family and never grab hold of the “oxygen mask” & put it on your own life. I guess acknowledgement is the first step 🙂 Please pray for me! I am enjoying your blog. You are adorable and I love your energy, positive attitude and contagious smile! Thanks a bunch.
Hi Denise! Thanks for your transparency!! You have a lot of things going on right now, so do your best!! God knows your heart!! Thanks for reading!!
Clare, I needed this today! So often, when i’m struggling, I come on here for encouragement and just a place to fill up on motivation and more than once, i’ve read an article or saw a video of you that I absolutely needed to hear in that moment. That is God!!! He speaks through you! And, I appreciate it more than I could ever put in a blog! Thank you Clare, for doing the work you do…you are beautiful and your heart and faith shine through in everything you do and say on here! Thank you and God Bless ya!
