The Running Skirt: Yay or Nay?

I just purchased my first running skirt. (Target clearance!!!) I’ve been wanting one for a while but have been hesitant to get it. Why? Because I was afraid I wouldn’t look as tough running wearing it!

You might think this is weird, but there are plenty of female runners out there who scoff at the runner who wears a skirt!

So what do you think? Do you wear a running skirt? Do you think it diminishes the athletic talent of a female runner?

(I think it’s mighty sassy and I’ll never pass up an opportunity for some sass. There are SOOO many cute ones out there!)

I own at least 6 of them (maybe more, I’d have to really think about it), and I love them! There’s nothing wrong with wearing them – you can look plenty tough, yet have a bit of girly flair at the same time. Plus, most come with at least one pocket (which none of my shorts have) which can come in handy for stashing Gu, etc, on the run. There are a lot of great skirts out there, but they can be really pricy. Two of my favorites came from the discount rack at a race expo. :)

I LOVE it. I say YAY! You are adorable and I don’t think it diminishes the look of athleticism at all. I think of Serena Woods, as a tennis player, she is amazing, and her wearing a cute skirt doesn’t lessen that a bit!
    Blessings!!

Yes they do Janelle! Thank goodness because I wore them to pilates the other night. My body is everywhere but on the mat! LOL
