Welcome back! You made it through week 1 and I am so proud of you! I need to do some admin stuff before we get to this week’s new focus, scripture memory, and our first check-in!
It’s time to reveal what our (3) grand prize packages will have in them! If you’ve been with me for a couple years, you’ll notice that they are very similar items but that’s because:
a) I love these people who donate and want to promote them and
b) I personally would want all these things!
Please be sure to visit each of these donor’s websites and/or instagram pages to support them! Remember, to be eligible to win one of the 3 packages, you just have to check in each week and meet the 2 criteria! I will pull 3 winners at the end of the challenge!
- Essential Oil Bracelet from Blooms & Linen
- “On The Go” workout DVD from Michelle Dozois
- “Balancing It All” book from Candace Cameron Bure
- $25 gift card to REFIT Rev
- Love>Fear Trucker Hat from Revelation Wellness
- Tank from Cross Training Couture (specific item detailed later)
- One Month Meal Plan from Dashing Dish
- Bottle of Lavender Essential Oil from Young Living
I also want to post the youtube link to my Facebook live that I did on Friday! I will hop on there live every Friday to discuss how the week went and answer any questions you may have. This week I just touched on a few admin things about the FB accountability group, the check-in process, and some thoughts on the flesh vs. spirit living! (Click here if you can’t access the video!)
Now let’s get to your new info! Remember, check the easy-to-reference tab at the top of my home page called “Living and Active” challenge so you can find all the posts and info!
We need to take care of week 1 and have our FIRST checkpoint! REMEMBER: If you want to be included to have a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE, then you HAVE TO CHECK-IN with me every week! (You also have to meet the 4 day/week exercise and weekly verse memorization criteria.)
Here is how we are going to check in each week. I have created a very simple form below. Please fill out all the red asterik questions and hit “submit”! I will be able to keep an easy check each week to see if you come back or not. 🙂 This form will be available and open for you to enter info in until next Sunday night! (If you can’t see the form below (which is probably the RSS readers) then click here! The food portion is NOT a piece to the grand prize eligibility nor will be on the weekly check-in, but I still want you to stay as accountable on that as possible!
You know you did it right when you get this at the end!
Ok.. Let’s move onto WEEK 2!!
Key # 2: DEDICATED DAILY
Scripture Memory (aka, “Soul Food”) Matthew 6:34 or Lamentations 3:22-23/ Psalm 16/Romans 8:5 (Just choose one of the many options!)
Click here for the printable that you can cut out and carry with you or hang up! (Don’t forget about the verses from prior weeks. Keep reviewing those, too!) I have the additional verse option below too!
And now, some insight as to why I chose this as our Key for week 2!
The routine is the same as last week. Feel free to mix and match as you please!
So last week we focused on water and this week we are going to layer on yet another healthy discipline…meal prep! Now before you throw your hands up, I want you to breathe.
The goal is to do 2 things in regards to meal prep:
1) Create a loose menu for the week. Shoot for 2 breakfast options, 3 lunch options, and 4 dinners! So for example, I would write down on my “menu”:
breakfast: smoothie, overnight oats
lunch: “summer” salad, leftover soup, eggs
dinner: chili, turkey burgers/sweet potatoes/brocolli, balsamic chicken/quinoa/salad, “breakfast” for dinner
2) Prep at least 1 item ahead. (You are receiving this info on Sunday/Monday, so try to get this done by Tuesday)
Example: dozen hard-boiled eggs, chicken avocado salad, a pitcher of green tea, veggie tray
This is the perfect time to use the FREE PRINTABLE included at the bottom of each of my emails!
Here is a helpful post with 15 easy meal and snack prep ideas! Also, don’t forget about those pinterest boards you’ve been creating and be sure to check out mine. Remember, sticking to the food portion is not part of grand prize eligibility, but I will add it to the check-in.
You are more than welcome to comment below with how you are doing or add it to my facebook wall or twitter! (#livingandactive) Also, don’t forget to check out instagram. You guys have been doing an awesome job of getting your workouts and food out there!
AGAIN: You HAVE to fill in the form above to be considered for the grand prize!! If I don’t have your name on there each week, then I won’t have any confirmation that you did the challenge requirements!! I would love to hear from you! Leave a comment below to let me know how week 1 went!! Praying for you all.
